PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This competition sought designs for a new elementary school on Chicago’s south side incorporating elements of “small school” educational philosophy and “universal design”. The premise of this submission was that the classroom was the heart of the school. Associated with each classroom was a patio or outdoor classroom which complemented and completed the student's education. This design was selected for exhibition and publication as a "Notable Design."
